Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced 3rd Line Microsoft 365 and IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team within our IT managed service provider.
As a division of a highly successful professional services organization that offers co-sourced finance, HR, and IT services to clients in high-value industries, we provide critical IT support and solutions to ensure the smooth operations of our clients’ businesses.
This rounded role recognises that in mature organisations MS 365 and IT infrastructure must work in harmony and so requires a strong background in Microsoft 365, Azure Cloud Technology, on-premise technologies (Hyper-V and VMware), and IT infrastructure management, including servers, networks, and endpoint management and security tools with exposure to the Microsoft Power Platform.
It is desirable that you also understand Fortinet technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a senior Microsoft 365 and IT infrastructure consultant, advising and assisting on the design, deployment, and management of Microsoft 365 and IT infrastructure services and components.
- Demonstrate leadership and mentorship qualities to less senior members of the team.
- Manage your own portfolio of clients as though you are their internal IT manager.
- Contribute to our ever-evolving technical standards.
- Maintain, manage and design Azure environments in accordance with best practices.
- Provide 3rd line support for MS 365 and infrastructure-related issues.
- Leverage experience in IT infrastructure management to advise on server, network, and endpoint management-related issues and how they can work seamlessly with the Microsoft Cloud Platform.
- Operate and manage Fortinet security solutions, or technological equivalent.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, documentation, and technical specifications to guide the planning and implementation of new or upgraded MS 365 systems or IT infrastructure.
- Work closely with all FACT3 Divisions to identify, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology services solutions for all aspects of the client’s organisation.
- Ensure constant availability of technical resources, including servers, network connections, and endpoints.
Abilities, Skills & Experience Required:
The Essentials:
- A minimum of 5 years experience in an IT Infrastructure role.
- Extensive experience of Microsoft 365, Azure Cloud Technology, Fortinet Technologies and IT Infrastructure Management.
- Knowledge of system security.
- Strong project management skills.
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
- Excellent Problem-Solving Skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust quicky to changing priorities.
Desirable:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent in computer science, IT or related field.
- MS-100 365 Identity and Services Certification.
- Power Platform Fundamentals Certification.
- Ability to create scripts in PowerShell.
- MacOS and iOS MDM experience
