Job Title: Internal Recruiter (Part Time)
Location: Unit 7a, Odhams Trading Estate, St Albans Road, Watford, WD24 7RY, will need to be in the office 3 days per week but option to work from home for the remainder of the working week.
You must live within commuting distance of the office and have the right to work in the UK
Salary: Up to £35,000 (pro-rata) basic salary depending on experience and hours worked
Job Type: Part-time, 24 – 30 hours over 4 or 5 days within core office hours (core office hours are 08:30 to 17:00 with a 30 minutes lunch break).

Main purpose of role:
With growth plans for 2023 and beyond, we want to hire the best talent whilst growing and developing our own. You will be responsible for supporting the recruitment activity across all of Vegetarian Express working alongside the Head of HR to help drive our talent strategy.
You will be responsible and manage the full recruitment cycle from the initial role specification to on-boarding successful candidates, alongside building trusted and lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You’ll develop our hiring model and proactively seek out opportunities to elevate our employer brand bringing valuable insights on attracting talent to the business.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end recruitment process including role approval, vacancy briefing, job advertising, candidate sourcing, application review, candidate screening, interview strategy, offer process and on-boarding of new starters including timely announcements of new starters to the business.
- Influence hiring managers on their hiring strategy make recommendations, and provide frequent status updates on open roles.
- Develop proactive recruitment campaigns that are exciting, engaging and build talent pools for key areas.
- Headhunt and approach passive candidates as required.
- Support and design selection processes, ensuring that candidate potential is a focus.
- Develop and embed our value proposition story, brand, business story/narrative, and tone of voice through all recruitment materials.
- Provide on-going support to recruiting managers throughout the process, advising of best practice and ensuring legal compliance throughout the recruitment process.
- Create strategies to source talent and leverage advertising resources to create awareness and attract applications for roles.
- Leverage existing networks and develop new opportunities to promote our employer brand.
- Work in partnership with agencies, when required, from agreeing terms of business to job offer management through them.
- Be responsible for the ATS (Applicant Tracking System), working to enhance user experience and improve reporting.
Essential Skills/competencies;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal; confident in dealing with the full range of business users, via multiple communication channels
- You’ll be exceptional at building relationships, being comfortable with networking outside of the business and representing the brand at events.
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
- Understanding of headhunting and talent pooling.
- Good knowledge of employment law that is related to the recruitment cycle
- Previous recruitment experience, either in-house or for an agency
- Experience of working with an ATS or HR system.
- You have experience in volume recruitment with exposure to a wide range of recruiting policies, practices, and trends.
