The Job Role:
AV Systems Engineering
- Take an active role in executing audio visual installation projects, work to include physical installation of equipment, pre commissioning configuration of equipment in line with system design documentation. Equipment preparation at the workshops, onsite installation and assisting with site acceptance and commissioning testing.
- To take an active role in client maintenance work if requested to support the maintenance team. Carrying out both preventive maintenance and unscheduled support visits for all the WAVI clients as needed.
- To provide be available to help with some email and telephone support calls for our maintenance clients.
- To provide out of hours and weekend support on an occasional basis if required.
- To provide direction and supervision of any freelance engineers, technicians or assistants assigned to work with you. Provide positive approach to on-site liaison with client representatives and other parties.
- To take an active role in updating any project design data, drawings etc, keeping records and documentation trails up to date as projects progress.
- Take an active role in the WAVI team support, assisting with the management of in-house portable appliance testing, equipment fault finding and repairs for both company and client equipment.
Installation Team/Company Support
- To assist on occasion, the technical director and sales team in the design stage of projects, to help ensure maintainable solutions are produced, tasks may include research and documentation.
- To input, update and help collate all customer and supplier data as required by software systems in use.
- To undertake supplier training courses on new equipment and systems that may be implemented within installation projects.
The Candidate:
Requirements
- In-depth understanding and experience with a broad range of AV equipment.
- Understand and demonstrate good practical termination skills.
- Have good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Be comfortable with leading others and client communication.
- Be fluent in modern computing, both hardware and software
- Good ability to use windows-based & Mac applications.
- Use of Microsoft SharePoint
- Have ECS or CSCS health & safety certification.
- Audinate Dante Level 1
- Crestron field technician track
- QSYS level 1 min

- Audinate Dante certification level 2
- Extron AV associate
- Yamaha DSP knowledge
- Jet built experience
