Job Title: Installation Technician
Location: Milton Park, Abingdon
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 p.a. depending on experience
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent (40 hours per week, working five days out of seven)
Simon Hegele Logistics & Service Ltd are high tech logistics and technical installations specialists working in the UK and are part of a large international group. With headquarters in Milton Park, Didcot, we are a well-established company with exciting expansion plans offering a unique opportunity to join our growing team.
The Role:
You will join a team of skilled technicians and support the delivery and installation of high-end medical imagery equipment in hospitals, clinics and veterinary practices. Full training will be provided and you will have the opportunity to gain certification in specific machines.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver, unload and check equipment
- Install systems to exacting standards and tolerances
- Follow detailed installation instructions, plans and site drawings
- Provide excellent customer service whilst on site
- Submit reports in accordance with the company’s procedures
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and welfare
Primarily working on installation projects, you should expect to be away from home an average of four nights per week (which will attract a tax-free subsistence allowance) and work 5 days out of 7, Monday to Sunday, with rest days between installations. Whilst work is predominately scheduled in the UK and Ireland, some European and International travel is expected.
Key Requirements:
- Background or keen interest in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Basic IT skills
- Ability to work independently
- An interest in learning new skills
- Customer focused attitude
- Clear understanding of Health and Safety and safe methods of work
Full training will be given due to the specialist nature of the role.
