Job Title: Independent Minute Recorder
Location: Ealing, London (W5 2QB) – Meetings currently being held on Zoom
Salary: £100 per meeting for recording and distribution of Minutes in an acceptable form for signing off by the relevant Chairs – Total of 15 meetings per academic year
Job type: Permanent, Full time
The Institute wishes to appoint an Independent Minute Recorder for its Board of Trustees and its Sub-Committees. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in Minute recording within the higher education sector. The candidate must be familiar with the way minutes are recorded within this sector and in a format that complies with the standard set by Office for Students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Taking minutes of Trust Board meetings, both full Board meetings and committee meetings, and summarising information accurately to produce a high-quality minute document within timescales.
- Ensuring accurate recording of meeting attendees, supporting the Chair and Chief Executive Officer in ensuring information is securely handled during the meeting and afterwards.
- The correction of draft minutes after reviewed by the Chair.
- Require a valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service Check) which will be organised by the Institute
The Candidate:
- Educated to degree level or experience working within a relevant role in an education environment
- Takes a pro-active approach to forward planning whilst remaining flexible to changing needs
- Proven accurate and timely ability to type minutes directly to laptop during the meeting
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality surrounding matters discussed
- Time flexibility and availability
