The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of professionals and academics supporting the research impact agenda and Research Excellence Framework (REF) submissions at Lancaster. The Impact Development Manager will work closely with key contacts in the university’s Research and Enterprise Services, Lancaster’s Faculty of Health and Medicine (FHM), and the Lancaster University Management School (LUMS), including senior research leaders, and academic staff.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the team to take on a varied and demanding role. You will work with senior leaders to work on the development and delivery of the research impact strategy, culture, training and activities within FHM/LUMS. You will work with staff across FHM/LUMS to lead the production of high-quality REF impact case studies, including offering guidance, collecting and analysing data to evidence impact, and redrafting content where required.
Candidate Requirements:
You will have experience of working in a research environment within Higher Education. Knowledge of the research impact landscape is essential and experience in relation to REF is desirable. An ability to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally with an internal audience and external collaborators and research ‘end-users’ will be important.
This role would suit an excellent communicator with a pro-active approach and the ability to plan and manage time and conflicting priorities.
