Job Title: HR Manager
Location: Standlake, Oxfordshire
Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 per annum
Job type: Permanent, Full time
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Here at The Mulberry Bush, our work transforms the lives of all those affected by childhood trauma, through specialist therapeutic services. We’re looking for individuals to join our ever-growing team to maintain our professional and industry renowned standards.
*Candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK.
About the Role:
The Mulberry Bush has developed an outstanding reputation for transforming the lives of those affected by childhood trauma – not only the young people who are impacted directly but also their families and support networks. Initially, our work was focussed through The Mulberry Bush School which is still key to our future but we have diversified and now also provide our expertise through Outreach, Research and Consultancy services – in the UK and further afield.
It is our intention to continue to grow. We plan to extend further the Charity’s activities and influence which is why we have created the role of HR Manager. We have reached the stage where we will benefit from having an experienced HR professional as an integral part of our team. Your primary goal will be to ensure that we have motivated people with relevant skills, knowledge, experience and qualifications in place at the required time in order to fulfil our growth plans.
Your priority will be to understand and translate our business strategy and goals into a HR strategy that will result in the development of processes which are scalable, relevant and adaptable to changing needs. The initial focus will be in the areas of resourcing, reward and employee relations because we want to attract, motivate and retain the very best in our sectors as we continue to grow. However, there will be needs in every aspect of Human Resources as well as some responsibilities outside of the function.
About you:
You will need at least five years’ HR generalist experience which will have included control of projects that demonstrate your change management skills together with the ability to deliver what was required to schedule and budget. A high degree of empathy combined with a commercial awareness and strong problem-solving abilities are all key to success in the role. Although growing, we are still relatively small so, along with working strategically, you will also be someone who can roll up your sleeves and muck in when necessary.
Benefits:
In addition to the salary, a generous and varied benefits package is offered along with the opportunity to join a highly professional team with an absolute commitment to the achievement of our goals.
- 25 days annual leave plus bank Holidays
- 6% Employer contribution pension
- High level of support and supervision
- Staff Wellbeing Scheme
- Discounted Better Leisure Membership
Additional Information:
The Mulberry Bush School is an equal opportunities employer and committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Applicants must be able to provide evidence of having the right to live and work in the UK and be prepared to undertake a criminal background check by the DBS.
