Job Title: HR Advisor
Location: Hybrid, must be within commuting distance of the Basingstoke Office where you will be based and work 2 to 3 days per week
Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 per annum
Job type: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: 37.5 Hours per week Monday to Friday (9:00 – 17:00 with a 30-minute lunch)

Our clients range from SMEs to multinationals. Black Mountain is a global organisation servicing clients in over 120 countries, but this role is entirely UK-based working from our Basingstoke office.
We are seeking an HR Advisor to join our busy HR team on a permanent basis working hybrid.
Previous employee relations casework experience is essential as is a good understanding of UK employment law to join our already experienced and commercially focussed team.
About the Role
You will be working as part of a busy and friendly HR team who are providing a comprehensive HR Service to a variety of clients across numerous sectors and organisations as part of a global outsourced partner of choice. You will be working with HR Business Partners on a variety of HR / ER Casework and supporting clients with professional HR Advice and support.
Key Duties
- Manage a caseload of disciplinary, grievance, and performance issues advising and supporting individual cases, at investigation, hearing, and appeal stages
- To aid clients in developing and reviewing HR policies, ensuring that correct information and details are provided in terms of legislation and processes
- Maintain expertise in employment law and best HR practice, to be able to provide accurate advice to clients on employment legislation issues, and their implications for the organisation
- Providing advice both by email/phone and onsite in a professional and efficient way whilst building and maintaining a trusted relationship with our clients
About You
Whether you’re working on thought-provoking ER cases or contributing to company-wide projects, you’ll need to be self-sufficient, proactive, and forward-thinking, as we’ll give you lots of autonomy and responsibility, but also solid support. No two days are the same and a flexible approach to your work is an essential quality that all our Black Mountain employees should have.
Experience across a variety of sectors would be beneficial as would working in a standalone HR position previously.
Excellent spoken and written English, spelling, and grammar. Self-motivated and self-disciplined as well as a proactive team member is critical together with good IT skills and a willingness to learn multiple HRIS software with a strong “can do” approach.
Must be a car driver and owner and happy to travel.
