Job Title: HR Advisor
Location: Helsby with Travel to other sites
Salary: £24,000 – £28,000 per annum (negotiable on experience)
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
Working Hours: 40 Hours Per Week

Heat Trace is a manufacturing and engineering company with our headquarters and main manufacturing unit in Helsby Cheshire, we also have two manufacturing facilities at Bredbury, Stockport. The prime activity of the business is the manufacture of highly technical heating cables for use predominantly in the oil and gas and advanced processing industries.
About the role:
An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a HR Advisor to join our team to support our group companies, based at Heat Trace, Helsby, there will be regular travel to our other sites (Bredbury and Bolton).
This role is newly formed to support the Group HR Structure across multi-businesses.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide advice and guidance to managers in employee related matters
- Ensuring Line Managers understand and are compliant with HR processes
- Support managers in formal meetings
- Draft colleague letters in relation to employee relations including probationary reviews, investigations, disciplinaries and appeals
- Monitor long term sickness absence, including arranging occupational health
- Updating and Monitoring HR & MI Data
- Answering and responding to emails/telephone calls in a timely and professional manner
- Assist HR Manager with ad hoc projects and duties when required
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience as an HR Generalist within a busy HR environment
- CIPD qualified or working towards/ relevant knowledge and experience in HR
- Previous knowledge of updated employment law
- Ability to coach and develop others through advice
- High attention to detail
- Excellent time management and planning skills to deliver against agreed targets and objectives
- Self-motivated with the drive and determination to build a long-term career with a successful, growing company to ensure that key tasks are met
- Able to work to tight deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Fully flexible to meet business needs
- Be able to drive and have own transport
