The Foundation is a registered charity, founded by a well-respected artist in 1977 during the last decade of his life in order to encourage public appreciation of the visual arts. Their primary objectives are to preserve the artist’s legacy at his home in Hertfordshire and through exhibitions worldwide; supporting the study of sculpture and research at their Institute in Leeds; and awarding grants to sculpture projects in the UK and abroad.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the HR Adviser is the principal HR point of contact and leads on the delivery of all HR matters across the organisation, including recruitment, contracts, training and development, performance reviews, developing and implementing HR policies, pensions, review of employee benefits and ensuring compliance with employment law, data protection etc.
The successful candidate will be CIPD qualified with experience in all areas of day to day HR management and administration; an individual who is equally comfortable drafting policies and setting up new systems, as well as monitoring daily attendance records. Excellent organisational skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to high levels of staff care are essential. Experience of working in the cultural or not-for-profit sectors is desirable.
The post will be based at the Foundation’s administration offices in rural East Hertfordshire, mid-way between London and Cambridge.
At least one day per month will be spent at the Henry Moore Institute in Leeds.
This is a part time position, working 21 hours per week for a fixed term contract to December 2019 with a possibility of renewal.
