Job Title: Human Resource Administrator
Location: Croydon
Salary: up to £24,000 per annum, plus fantastic benefits

This role covers all areas of the employee lifecycle and is a business partnering role by nature. The role is operational, however the project work within this role will allow the individual to be involved in more strategic aspects of the HR Team. As part of a small, team this role will also be responsible for carrying out the day-to-day HR activities.
The role involves being hands on and navigating between regular tasks, responding to ad hoc queries and proactively exploring better ways of delivering the HR service to the company.
This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment that can demonstrate extraordinary attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Onboarding and Admin
- Being the first point of contact for all HR queries and escalating issues when required
- Initiate and manage the administrative set-up for new employees (i.e., terms of contract, induction process and ensuring they have the correct right to work documents)
- Providing core administrative support for the HR Team.
Policies & Procedures
- Supporting line managers and employees with general queries relating to pay, contract, maternity, paternity and unpaid leave etc.
- Giving advice and guidance to line managers on a range of employee relation issues, seeking guidance from the Senior HR Manager as and when required
- Knowledge and understanding of HR policies and their practical application in order to provide advice and support to all colleagues and managers
Payroll & Benefits
- Ensuring all monthly changes to payroll are collated and communicated to the payroll vendor, including starters, leavers, fixed and variable changes
- Reporting changes to benefits vendor, including starters and leavers
Absence and Reporting
- Monitor employee attendance records, including sickness absence and use of holiday entitlement
- Generate weekly, monthly and quarterly HR reports from HRIS
- Manage the end of year holiday carryover and holiday purchasing process
- Processing of starter and leaver forms and supporting the Senior HR Manager
HR Information System
- To maintain the HR Information system and personnel files, including the updating of starters and leavers details
- To be the first point of contact for queries relating to using and navigating the HR system
- Helping roll out additional functionality, as well as sharing hints and tips for the system across the company
- Training all new starters on how to use the HR System
- To be responsible for ensuring that all HR files and databases are efficiently set-up and maintained, observing confidentiality at all time.
Recruitment and Selection
- Supporting the Senior HR Manager and/or the hiring manager with listing vacancies, reviewing applications, arranging interview, conducting references, right to work/visa checks, and coordinating probationary periods
Projects
- Completing ad hoc projects for the HR team, such as employee induction, reviewing polices and exit process
- Proactively seek opportunities to continuously improve how we work
The Candidate:
Essential:
- Be educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Have previous experience in HR, or an Administration role
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office
- CIPD qualified or working towards CIPD qualification or prepared to work towards CIPD qualification.
Desirable:
- Confident with IT/Systems
Working Time:
- Part-time working will be considered such as 3-4 full days a week or shorter daily working hours.
- Candidates currently in higher education, such as under graduates will be considered, hours can be offered around seminars
Salary based on full-time hours, prorated based on working pattern agreed with successful candidate.
