About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Admin Assistant to join our small HR team supporting on a range of HR matters including recruitment and induction, policy and procedure queries, maintenance of the people HR system and general administration duties. We are looking for an enthusiastic and focused individual with a commitment to a career in HR. The successful candidate will have excellent written and communication skills with great attention to detail, an aptitude for multitasking and working to deadlines and an awareness of the importance of confidentiality in a HR environment. The role requires experience of administration preferably within an HR department and previous experience of using a personnel software system is desirable. CIPD qualification is desirable although not essential, requirement is dependent on practical experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general HR administration including payroll and benefits, set up and maintenance of paper and electronic HR documents, completion of references, invites to meetings and interviews, producing general HR correspondence, processing of contractual staff changes.
- Assist in the administration of The Lowry’s recruitment and selection process including advertising of vacancies, invites to applicants and coordinating the interview process.
- Assist in the set up and delivery of the new starter induction programme.
- Maintain appropriate manual and IT based systems for all staff including personal files, new employee details, holidays, absence and training records including archiving and filing of manual and IT systems.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Ability to work independently.
- CIPD qualified.
- Experience of administration within an HR department.
- Experience using a personnel software system.
