Role Info
We are looking for an enthusiastic Project Manager to join our team, who will work alongside Stirling Prize winning architects Mikhail Riches to design zero carbon new neighbourhoods. Our projects look to provide affordable homes in an integrated way alongside homes for first time buyers, growing families and those in retirement.
You will join a highly motivated and supportive team, working on all aspects of the projects, from inception, through to public engagement and design, planning and procurement, and construction and handover.
We don’t expect you to be an expert on all aspects of project management, but good partnership and contract management skills are key to the success of our programme. Training and support will be provided.
Ideal Candidate
The post holder will have at least one of the following:
- Be educated to degree level in a relevant field
- Have a professional housing or planning qualification which enables Chartered Membership of the leading professional body within that sector
and at least one of the following:
- Hold a recognised project management qualification
- Demonstrable experience of project managing the delivery of major new housing developments
And
- The ability and experience to lead and project manage new housing developments.
- An understanding of the development, planning and associated legal processes
- The ability to review and contribute to complex legal documents that underpin the provision of housing
- A detailed understanding of financial viability of housing development and an ability to develop viability appraisals on our own projects
Responsibilities include
- Identification of suitable sites
- Ensuring financial viability of proposals
- Commissioning design feasibility studies
- Leading engagement with external stakeholders including Environment Agency, Homes England, Sport England, Historic England, etc, to ensure development plans are acceptable
- Leading public engagement to ensure all residents have an opportunity to engage and influence the development design
- Bids for Homes England (HE) grant funding
- Procurement of consultants through council and external framework agreements
