Job Title: Hire Desk Assistant

Location: Sutton

Salary: £21,000-£28,000 DOE

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Advanced Access Platforms is London’s leading independent powered access supplier and due to expansion is looking for a new hire controller to work from their busy office in Sutton.

Roles and responsibilities:

On a day to day basis you will work on the hire desk, working alongside our fantastic team, support them on building customer relations, responding to sales enquiries, understanding customer needs and maximising on sales opportunities. You will need to help the customer with any queries and help maintain the company thinking of always putting the customer first.

This role will include the management of your own hire contract administration and ensure the entire process is completed in a timely and accurate manner. You will need to be a great coordinator who enjoys organising and planning your work in a busy, friendly professional team environment.

Skills required:

If you are successful, you will be provided with a comprehensive company induction and training programme and we will help develop your future career progression within our business. In return we would ideally like our candidate to show a number of skills, including:

  • Experience in a role that has a strong customer service focus.
  • Great communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good IT/computer skills, particularly Microsoft office but full training will be given on our hire system.
  • Able to work as part of a team and supporting your colleagues.
  • Flexible in your approach but self-motivated to take initiatives but keen to learn new and develop new skills.
  • Effective administration, organisation and planning skills with a keen eye on attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in the hire industry or construction industry would be advantageous but really not essential as are happy to train.
