Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver
Location: Liverpool, Merseyside
Salary: Up to £8 per hour, Depending on experience
Job Type: Permanent, Full time
Hours: Mon – Fri 8:00am – 4:45pm
Established for over 35 years and now one of the North West’s leading & multi award winning Engineering companies, the Company is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic HGV Class 1 Driver to join their busy and expanding team, based in Merseyside.

Responsibilities:
- Undertake local deliveries in a 7.50 tonne vehicle and other vehicles when required
- Flexible person to undertake local deliveries of steel goods in a fast pace manufacturing environment
- Assisting with the final packaging of goods and loading vehicles prior to delivery
- Provide HGV cover within the division
- Provide holiday cover for vehicles in other departments which may entail various start times, weekend work and/or occasional nights away from home
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Must have Cat C1 licence
- Must be over 25 for insurance with no more than 6 points
- Must be flexible and prepared to do night work/work away from home, including early starts and weekends
- Must be willing to undergo FLT training to assist with loading vehicles
- Must be willing to undergo HIAB training
- Good knowledge of Drivers’ Hours Rules and Tachograph Regulations
