Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum

About the role
Tokamak Energy is an ambitious, high growth company. It has doubled in size in just over a year, and this growth is set to continue. We need talented, passionate people to fulfil our ambitions of creating a clean, sustainable, and abundant source of energy through fusion. Reporting to the Head of HR, the Head of Talent will lead our talent acquisition strategy end to end in all geographies, across the full talent acquisition life cycle from workforce planning to onboarding. Working with hiring managers, finance and HR colleagues and the senior management team you will implement strategies to add capability throughout the organization, attracting, identifying and onboarding the highest quality candidates to time and budget. Responsible for developing, maintaining and communicating our employer brand, you will create strong talent pipelines for our Company’s current and future resourcing needs.
Responsibilities will include:
- Lead employer branding and EVP in alignment with our culture, raising the profile of the organisation amongst potential pools of new talent.
- Workforce planning in alignment with business objectives, coordinating with budget holders and finance colleagues to identify and budget appropriately to meet current and future resourcing needs.
- Design and build a fit for purpose recruitment process suitable for an international context in partnership with our recruitment partner.
- Design and build an attraction strategy to attract, identify, select, and onboard the highest calibre of talent into our business, and including specific candidate populations, e.g. early careers (apprenticeships, graduates)
- Ensure a top-quality candidate experience.
- Design and build a high-quality contracting and onboarding process.
- Work with marketing and communications colleagues to design and develop appropriate media for recruitment purposes.
- Build the talent pool, fostering an excellent reputation for the Company amongst past applicants and potential candidates.
- Design and implement strategies to build a diverse and inclusive workplace.
- Build metrics and report to senior management quarterly and annual hiring progress.
- Develop career paths and manage internal talent and succession
- Work with Universities around work experience and internships.
- Promote careers in science and engineering among diverse groups ( gender , social etc)
About you:
Skills and experience
- Ideally degree qualified in a relevant field, or a minimum CIPD level 5 qualification.
- Proven work experience in talent acquisition at a strategic level in a technology setting.
- International recruitment experience.
- Start-up experience preferred.
- Experience in recruiting at all levels including senior level, C-suite roles.
- Familiarity with social media and professional networks as a recruitment tool.
- Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and evaluation methods.
- An understanding of contract law as it relates to employment offers and contracts.
- Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs) and other technology leveraged for recruitment purposes.
- Well-developed presentation skills.
- Experience in an engineering or similar environment would be an advantage.
