Flexipol supply packaging mainly into the food and medical industry. The role:

The role is part of the Senior Leadership Team reporting into the Flexipol Board, the purpose is to lead the business sales function.

The Head of Sales will directly manage the Marketing and Commercial Managers who in turn look after the customer service and marketing teams across the Flexipol sites. The Head of Sales will be responsible for establishing a solid reporting structure within the teams.

The role will look to monitor current business performance, maximizing opportunities with existing customers and ensuring the smooth transition of account management for new customers. Establishing KPI’s aimed at delivering world-class service performance levels, the Head of Sales will take full responsibility for the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Tracking customer performance and reporting to the board.
  • Commercial reporting in monthly board pack data & commentary.
  • Identifying KPI’s to drive continuous improvement in customer service.
  • Direct management of site customer service leads & marketing function.
  • Development of the commercial strategy to support growth, customer retention and NPD.

The Candidate:

  • Strong individual with a customer-centred approach and attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of current markets, customer requirements and opportunities.
  • Self-motivated and can work under pressure.
  • A can-do attitude, able to overcome obstacles with a team approach.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate others through collaboration.
  • Organisational and planning skills to manage your time and to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Interpersonal skills that enable you to collaborate with people at all levels and to motivate others.
  • Written and spoken communication skills that allow you to inform and advise others clearly.

Knowledge, Training and Experience required

  • Commercial, customer-focused background.
  • Experience of supplying product into fast-paced environments (such as food) would be an advantage.
  • The successful candidate would need to demonstrate the ability to be able to work collaboratively with all areas of the business (supply chain, finance, planning etc.) to deliver for our customers.
  • Presenting commercial progress to the board concisely in both written and oral form.
