Job Title: Head of New Business and Technical Support

Flexipol supply packaging mainly into the food and medical industry. The role:

The role is part of the Senior Leadership Team reporting into the Flexipol Board, the purpose is to lead the external business sales function, taking responsibility for the two key areas of new business development and technical support. The role will look to maximise new business opportunities and cement relationships with existing customers by providing a world-class technical support function.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Tracking new business performance and reporting to the board.
  • New business reporting in monthly board pack data & commentary.
  • Establishing KPI’s to drive continuous improvement in technical support.
  • Direct management of the technical support team and new business development.
  • Development of the commercial strategy to support growth, customer retention and NPD.
  • Leading commercial SI’s focussing on new business, new products, and new markets.

The Candidate:

  • Strong individual with a customer-centred approach and attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of current markets, customer requirements and opportunities.
  • Self motivated and can work under pressure.
  • A can-do attitude, able to overcome obstacles with a team approach.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate others through collaboration.
  • Organisational and planning skills to manage your time and to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Interpersonal skills that enable you to work with people at all levels and to motivate others.
  • Written and spoken communication skills that allow you to inform and advise others clearly.

Knowledge, Training and Experience required

  • Strong experience in supplying fast-paced environments (such as food).
  • Technical or a new business perspective
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage both functions, bringing together the mindset that growth will be achieved by solving our customer’s technical challenges.
  • Presenting commercial progress to the board concisely in both written and oral form.
