Job Title: Head of Marketing

The Group is a successful £200m turnover leisure business which employs more than 2500 people and provides holidays and short breaks for over one million customers each year. They have a number of well known brands that operate all over the country.
The Role:
As Head of Marketing you will have the skills and passion to drive customer acquisition, engagement and retention through a range of key channels across the company’s various brands.
The successful candidate will be responsible for brand management, strategy and communications for the company as it goes through a period of significant growth.
Reporting to the Digital Director, you will be an expert in your field, with excellence in direct mail, press and media and will manage the day to day relationships with their media agency.
This hands-on role requires daily performance monitoring and optimisation to ensure business KPIs are met. The role also requires high level managerial skills and the ability to track and optimize our marketing campaigns across all channels.
Responsibilities:
- Working with the Digital Director to set the strategy and manage the development of all marketing communications across consumer press, direct mail, media partnerships, point of sale, television/radio, out of home media, public relations, customer loyalty programme.
- Develop and grow the brand, targeting specific consumer demographics and increasing awareness.
- Develop marketing strategy for acquisition to grow the number of new customers, re- activate customers and ensure growth of customers is in line with business objectives.
- Develop strong compelling consumer campaigns working with the Product team to ensure trading requirements are achieved.
- Regularly liaising with the product and development teams on new product launches, product availability, ROI Trends and ideas to optimise campaigns.
- Develop and grow the customer relationship management programme through targeted customer segments and ensure database is fully GDPR compliant.
- Produce an annual communications plan for the company.
- Responsible for the annual brochure production cycle working with the Product Team to ensure deadlines are achieved.
- Manage and develop ‘in hotel’ marketing across their 44 hotels and ensure all correct branding is in situ
- Manage the marketing of the retail travel estate on its continued growth.
- Manage the Studio output trafficking and workload.
- Manage the company’s marketing budgets and ensure CPA is in line with budget.
- Identify trends and insights and use that to inform performance and budget optimisation
- Develop structured marketing campaign management, analysis and measurement.
- Maintain robust administration and relevant reporting and planning systems.
- Provide thought leadership and perspective to assist the business to innovate.
- Manage a team of marketing colleagues through their personal development programme to ensure goals and objectives are achieved.
To be successful you will have:
- Over 5 years marketing experience
- Experience of managing a large high-functioning team
- Experience of managing multi-channel marketing.
- Experience of Direct Marketing
- Experience of Digital Marketing
- Experience of press production and print buying
- Able to set strategy and be self-motivating
- Able to work autonomously
- Strong time management and organisational skills, especially around deadlines
- Ability to manage a range of projects to timescales and budget
- A good team player with good communication and interpersonal skills and the confidence to build good working relationships internally and externally
- Experience working within a Leisure, Travel or Retail is preferred, but not essential
