Tens of millions of pounds have been secured to transform Walsall and we need a Head of Marketing & Brand to showcase our people, our place and our Council.
Working together with our private and public sector partners we have big ambitions to build on our proud industrial heritage and build a borough fit for the future.
Reporting to the Director of Communications Marketing & Brand this is a newly created post, leading a new team. This is a rare chance to build and shape our approach to marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing a leadership role in developing Walsall Council’s marketing and brand strategy and to raise the profile of the borough
- Engaging with partners to develop a joined up approach to raising the profile of the borough regionally and nationally.
- Ensuring the Council has a clear set of brand guidelines and processes in place to ensure a consistent brand identity.
- Leading the development and delivery of marketing and advertising campaigns
- Ensuring that campaigns are evaluated in a meaningful way
- Promoting creative thinking, thought leadership and influence across the Council to enable the whole Council to be more creative and innovative in the way that it works
- Driving income generation strategies through the promotion of events, products and services.
- Deputising for the Director Communications Marketing & Brand when required to do so.

We’re looking for an experienced marketeer with proven knowledge of delivering successful marketing and advertising campaigns. We need a leader who inspires and motivates others. A creative force who keeps across the latest marketing innovations. We need a Head of Marketing & Brand who is excellent at building relationship and who works collaboratively.
