Job Title: Head of Marketing

About the role:
The ideal candidate will bring a big personality to the team and translate that to our brand through cheeky, bolshie, and sometimes provocative marketing. We’re not afraid to say we’re the best around and to challenge consumers to think again when they are choosing their broadband provider. The main purpose of this role is to increase brand awareness and increase lead generation in the towns and cities we serve across the UK. Key duties:
- Crafting strategies across all Digital, Advertising, Communications and Creative channels
- Work closely with other senior managers, supporting each department with a best-in-class marketing
- Building a deep understanding of the audience and community, creating key insights, and using the lessons to generate clear actions to drive growth and engagement
- Using a data-centric approach to marketing, identifying opportunities to increase engagement, reach new market segments and expand market share
- Creating the cross-channel go-to-market strategy focused on driving brand awareness, lead generation and organic orders
- Managing and coaching a small team, driving a culture of innovation and delivery, setting up current and long-term team objectives and reporting on these
- Defining and managing marketing budgets, optimising CAC performance
- Creating, curating, and leveraging new and existing content to position the brand as the best option in the industry
- Owning and managing the website, content, newsletters, affiliate comparison sites, social media and other marketing channels
- Implement marketing automation to streamline marketing tasks and workflows
About you:
- The ability to build a marketing function from scratch and manage a small high performing team
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, a commercial mindset, and an ability to work cross-functionally
- An interest in, and knowledge about technology, and start-ups
- Experience in building communities, driving business growth and commercial revenue streams through innovative, content-lead marketing approaches
- Worked at a senior strategic level, whilst being able to roll up your sleeves and be hands on
- Experience developing personas and customer journeys
- Worked with automated sales and marketing platforms
- A creative flair coupled with a passion data-driven, scientific approach to marketing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- You have experience managing projects and multiple work streams
- A start-up mentality – a relationship builder, flexible, dedicated, and hardworking
