About the role:
As the Accounting Principal, and with a broad spectrum of accounting experience, you will bring a proactive approach to your work. This is an executive position where you will be responsible for the development and success of the legal team as part of the ongoing growth of Echo. A determined, strategic and positive personality with experience of building and leading teams is essential. You will have strong technical knowledge in the relevant areas of law and you will be forward-thinking and business-minded.
Key to this role is commercial aptitude and confidence to engage with stakeholders at every level to ensure financial compliance is adhered to at all times.
In brief, you will:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
- Monitor and manage performance of the accountancy team
- Further developing the culture of delivering exceptional customer service to clients
- Monitor and review workflow and caseloads, ensuring they are handled in a timely manner
- Supporting the team with technical legal queries
- Help grow the business
About you:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a qualified financial accountant with experience of client relationship management and providing end to end accountancy services, along with prior experience as a head of department. You will also:
- Have proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
- Be ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
- Have experience of leading and managing a team
- Have the ability to provide the highest standard of client care
- Have excellent written and verbal communication
- Be adept at problem solving
- Attention to detail, good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
- Experience in Healthcare work is strongly desired.
