About the Role:
Applications are invited for the position of Hairdresser to provide a hairdressing service to beneficiaries of Pilkington Family Trust, both male and female, in their own homes and at our short-term respite care home.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide a hairdressing services to beneficiaries of Pilkington Family Trust
- To manage own appointment system to ensure beneficiaries are given equal opportunity to use the service
- To maintain a record of each beneficiary visited
- To maintain adequate hairdressing stock
- To collect payment from beneficiaries and reconcile money before paying into accounts department
- To keep a record of business miles to allow an accurate claim for expenses to be submitted each month
- To report any concerns about a beneficiary to the Services Co-ordinator
About you:
- Good level of education up to GCSE standard
- Minimum of NVQ Level II in Hairdressing or equivalent qualification
- At least 2 years’ experience in hairdressing
- Must be able to organise and prioritise own work
- Good time management skills
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
- Caring, compassionate nature and a good understanding of the needs of older people
