Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Warden – Pinewoods Holiday Park
Location: Wells-next-the Sea, Norfolk
Salary: £9.60 per hour
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: 37.5 hours a week, including weekends and on call rota for out of hours emergencies
Pinewoods is a unique, coastal 5-star holiday park located in Wells-next-the-Sea beside the award-winning beaches of Wells and Holkham and adjacent to the Holkham National Nature Reserve. With 670 static holiday home bases including our hire fleet of 81 units and a state of the art 116 pitch touring park, Pinewoods provides three key income streams: holiday home sales, holiday sales and site fees.
We are looking for an individual who will be able to take lead responsibility for the Main Park Landscape
Key Responsibilities:
- To contribute to the tidiness and general appearance of the Park to maintain 5* standards.
- The planting and maintenance of trees, shrubs, herbaceous plants, ground cover and annual bedding, hedge clipping and pruning
- Grounds maintenance and cultivation
- The use and maintenance of hand tools and basic light machinery
- The use of ride on mowers, strimmers, hedge trimmers and leaf blowers
- Maintenance and care of equipment including oil level checks and checking for damage
- To respond and where possible resolve customer questions or concerns, passing onto the appropriate team member if required e.g. Reception.
- Liaising with owners regarding appropriate planting around their caravans
- To be aware of and report and identified risks.
- To apply chemicals where appropriate.
- To clean and maintain the hard surfaces around Pinewoods Holiday Park and treat them when required.
- To keep all paths and driveways clear and safe to use including gritting and salt spread.
- As Pinewoods Holiday Park is a twenty-four hour per day business when open, being available out of hours (occasional call out) as per rota is required.
Essential Skills:
- Horticultural level 3 qualification or previous grounds maintenance/landscaping experience essential.
- Knowledge of plants
- Good customer service, and a willingness to deal with our customers about landscape related issues
- Spraying qualification PA1 & PA6 preferred. Not essential, training will be given.
- Experience of ride on mowers, leaf blowers, hedge cutters.
- Full UK driving licence
