Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Operative
Location: Heyford Park, near Bicester, but work all over Oxfordshire
Salary: £10 – £11 per hour
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent (37.5 hours, Monday to Friday with overtime)
Holiday: 21 days plus bank holidays

Oxford Edens is a gardening business based in Heyford Park, maintaining a wide variety of private gardens and commercial grounds across Oxfordshire. The business is experiencing strong and consistent growth and there is an immediate need for a hard working and enthusiastic individual to join the team as a Grounds Maintenance Operative. The work will be for our commercial clients initially and will mainly consist of mowing, strimming, shrub shaping, hedge cutting, leaf clearance, weeding and moss removal.
Like our clients, we expect all work to be carried out to consistently high standards, often exceeding expectations. We are looking for someone who has this approach to their work.
As you can see from our website our work is varied so although the role will initially be grounds maintenance, we do invest in training our employees and are looking for someone to grow with us if that is what you want.
About you:
- At least 2 years’ experience working in garden or grounds maintenance having used mowers, strimmers and hedge cutters.
- Honest and personable character with excellent timekeeping and organisational skills, and your flexibility in approach to tasks and schedules.
- Ability to work under pressure, in all weathers and to solve problems as and when they arise.
- Happy to work as part of a team or on your own.
- Ability to get to and from Heyford Park and a UK driving licence so that you can drive one of our company vehicles.
- Work according to our health and safety criteria.
