Job Title: Graduate Civil/Structural Engineer

Salary: £28k – £33k per annum

Allen Gordon LLP is an independent civil and structural engineering consultancy providing design services to a wide variety of public and private sector clients across Scotland.
About the role
We are currently looking for Graduate Engineers for our busy offices in Inverness, Perth and Stirling where you will have the opportunity to work within our experienced teams to deliver a wide range of exciting projects, including:
- Power projects, including renewables, supporting the transition to net zero.
- Water and wastewater projects including pumping stations, treatment works and reservoirs.
- New infrastructure, including public and private housing developments of up to 700 homes.
- A range of structural engineering projects in the domestic, industrial and commercial sectors.
As you develop your design skills and gain knowledge and experience, we will provide guidance and mentoring at every stage with the aim of helping you to achieve Chartered Engineer status as early as possible.
These are posts with excellent long-term prospects which offer the possibility of advancement to a senior position within a well-established small firm. You will be exposed to many aspects of the engineering profession and will have the opportunity to run your own projects, build client relationships and be responsible for financial and commercial decisions.
Candidate Specification
- MEng in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (applications from candidates with BEng at 2:1 or above will also be considered).
- Ambitious to advance to Chartered Engineer status.
- Good communication skills, including a good standard of written English.
- Competent in the use of AutoCAD. Training will be given in the use of Civils 3D and Revit.
- Open to new challenges and with a flexible attitude to work.
Responsibilities
- Developing engineering solutions as part of a team.
- Preparing calculations, reports and drawings.
- Working with technicians to produce models and drawings.
- Communicating with clients and contractors.
- Pursuing Chartered Engineer status with our support.
