Job Title: Global Software Tester

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per annum

The Role:
You will be directly responsible for testing systems and software within the IQE group for accuracy and integrity. Also, for supporting the developers to get things right first time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attain a good understanding of the aims of the software being tested, including all patterns of usage and all validation and conditions required for the process.
- To analyse data (and prepare if required) to ensure a thorough and live testing process can take place.
- Plan and document testing patterns that thoroughly test for all eventualities.
- Provide accurate and concise feedback to developers and line management.
- Undertake and create automated and unit tests
- The employee may be called upon to carry out training and sometimes document the operation of the software.
- The employee must become familiar with the software and be able to support basic user queries.
- The ability to communicate with the users effectively.
Qualifications/Essential Skills:
- Experience in a test role for more than 2 years.
- Good understanding of IQE business process;
- ISTQB Qualified is desirable
- Experience of the testing tool: Selenium
- Experience of testing both desktop and web applications.
- Experience of testing tools such as Ranorex, Selenium & test rail.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft SQL.
- Good knowledge and understanding of Testing methodologies, approaches and products and how they can be applied;
- Excellent relationship management skills leading to developing credibility with key stakeholders within the business and other stakeholder groups;
- Good written and oral communication and stakeholder management skills in order to build consensus, in particular to be able to drive agreement on test coverage where time and budget are limited;
- Experience of working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with the ability to coach and mentor individuals;
- Workshop facilitation
- Experience in Semiconductor / Manufacturing is desirable
