Job Title: Marketing Manager

Location: Long Eaton – Commutable from Nottingham/Derby/Leicester

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum, 26 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.

Job Type: 37 hours per week – 8.00am to 4.30pm Mon-Thurs (30 mins lunch), 8.00am to 1.00pm Fri (no lunchbreak)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Global Marketing Manager to work within an innovative and award-winning Sales and Marketing team operating on a global scale. This role involves the management of the entire global marketing operation.

The Global Marketing Manager defines the marketing and communications strategy that aligns with business goals, reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director. Managing a team of two, including a Marketing Assistant and Graphics Designer, along with 3rd party collaborators including a Freelance Video Editor and web company, you will implement this strategy. Using a mix of inbound and outbound B2B marketing initiatives your role is to develop new leads, nurture existing leads, while also keeping in mind customer retention.

The role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Global Marketing Manager to work within an innovative and award-winning Sales and Marketing team operating on a global scale. This role involves the management of the entire global marketing operation.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  1. To ensure all marketing materials/promotional activities enhance the company’s image and improve the company’s standing in the marketplace.
    1. Promotional literature – digital and print
    2. Product videos
    3. Social media posts
  2. Monitor and collate competitor activity (websites, Partners, new markets, new competitors, M&A’s)
  3. Develop and effectively use stakeholder database
  4. Develop closer interaction with customers conceptually and practically to gain competitive advantages
  5. Understand current and future curricula developments to help position TecQuipment’s offer
  6. Develop Regional/Territory marketing & strategies with RSMs
  7. Organise and coordinate events, both in-person and online
  8. Manage company website and implement updates.
  9. Coordinate and produce promotional video material
  10. Manage TecQuipment’s social presence
  11. Draw Partners closer to company with connection to marketing efforts
  12. Manage PR activity including content management and persona targeting
  13. Assist in management decisions where current knowledge can benefit
  14. Networking with suppliers, Sales Partners, customers and key decision makers
  15. Input into Sales Partner selection process where requested
  16. Support HR objectives through internal communications activities
  17. To consistently strive to improve quality within all daily practices

Many different tools/methods are utilised to achieve these goals, with a growing focus on digital marketing including effective web management, SEO, social media, marketing automation, video and digital events. These complement traditional in-person events and print collateral.

We are looking for someone who is constantly scanning the marketing horizon and who can keep an ear to the ground to understand changes in the market, to allow us to continue to provide industry leading marketing that supports growth of the business.

Essential Experience from Candidate:

  • You will have five years or more similar experience in a similar B2B engineering or tech industry
  • You will have worked across the marketing mix to implement initiatives and effectively evaluated their success
  • You will have managed team members and be adept at mentoring and developing these individuals
  • Excellent attention to detail
