About us:

Aerial Collective specialise in providing vintage aircraft flying experiences in a variety of World War 2 era ‘Warbirds’ from the iconic grounds of the Imperial War Museum and former RAF/USAAF Airfield at Duxford, Cambridgeshire.

Supported closely by the Aircraft Restoration Company, we are a family-owned company established in the early 90s dealing with the restoration, maintenance and operation of a wide variety of historic aircraft, including those operated by Aerial Collective.

This role is key to the continuing development of Aerial Collective as a premier provider of vintage aircraft flying experiences, offering high end hospitality, combined with a sense of tradition, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Role overview:

In order to move to the next stage in our development we are on the lookout for a passionate and dynamic individual from a Corporate Events / Hospitality or Corporate Aviation background to lead and develop the Aerial Collective team, whilst using their individual strengths to ensure a first-class experience for all customers and their guests from the initial point of enquiry through to post event feedback. This role is tailor-made for an individual who is meticulous, has a passion for orchestrating unforgettable events, and is keen to inject innovation and their unique mark into our organisation.

Key responsibilities

  • Overseeing all team members, inspiring them to ensure that we consistently meet the highest levels of quality, safety and customer experience.
  • Liaising with various stakeholders to provide the necessary information regarding aircraft requirements, guests visiting site and any special requests.
  • Ensuring that there are sufficient trained staff available to meet to operational needs and ensure the guests receive a quality experience.
  • Be the first point of contact for any customer issues, ensuring follow up actions are implemented in order to prevent a re-occurrence.
  • Ensuring that bookings and follow up matters are dealt with consistently and in a timely manner.
  • Building robust relationships with external organisations both within the warbird industry and outside to further expand the reach of Aerial Collective to new audiences.

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will come from a Corporate Events / Hospitality or Corporate Aviation background with the following attributes:

  • Experience of delivering luxury events or experiences where every detail is considered, ensuring that the customer and their guests receive a seamless service from initial enquiry to leaving the site after their flight.
  • Ensuring that nothing is ‘too much trouble’ for our customers and their guests.
  • Experience of managing a diverse team.
  • Proven team leadership and motivational skills, together with the ability to develop a team to produce consistently excellent results.
  • Excellent organisational skills, combined with an eye for detail.
  • Natural and calm communication skills with the ability to treat everybody equally and remain calm under pressure.
  • The ability to resolve any issues and deliver consistent feedback to all stakeholders in a timely and well considered manner.
  • Ability to identify marketing and promotional opportunities.
  • You will be a team player and not afraid to get involved in any task to ensure customer satisfaction without putting undue strain on other team members.
