About the role:
The purpose of this role is to:
- Effectively oversee and coordinate the activities of the Sales and Operations departments to ensure that all customers receive first-class service efficiently and in line with our SLAs and internal standards.
- Drive a sales and service culture and work closely with the Directors and others to manage the company’s growth strategy.
- Establish and imbed metrics to measure operational and service standards to create a culture of continuous improvement and customer excellence.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure the smooth operation between the Sales and Operations departments resulting in excellent customer service
- Act as the escalation point for customer complaints
- Implement the company’s sales strategy by:
- Ensuring appropriate account management of new, large and sensitive accounts.
- Overseeing internal processes to ensure email or telephone enquiries and quote generation, distribution and follow-up are completed efficiently to maximise sales opportunities.
- Overseeing the implementation of key / bespoke customer proposals in conjunction with the sales department.
- Establish and then monitor data and metrics to ensure customer excellence and efficiency. Use date to focus resource and attention
- Support Marketing by assisting with and following up on marketing campaigns.
- Oversee the development of a sub-contract database and standards of operation.
About you:
- Experience of managing or coordinating sales and operations activities to meet strategic aims and targets
- An understanding and/or experience of waste transport operations and knowledge of asbestos and/or hazardous waste management solutions and legislation is desirable but not essential
- Proven track record in, project and people management
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, communicate and build relationships with employees at different levels and performing different functions.

- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and delegate
- Tenacity and resilience
- Commercially driven with capability to work with numbers to make business improvements
- Understanding the importance of and experience of working with a CRM
(HubSpot is currently being used) - PC literate with good knowledge of IT systems, Microsoft Office suite
