Job Title: Labourer
Location: Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire
Salary: £19,000, paid overtime, pension, life assurance, 26 days holiday + Bank Holidays.
Job Type: 37 hours per week, i.e 8.00am to 4.30pm Monday-Thursday (half an hour unpaid lunch-break)
8.00am to 1.00pm Friday (no lunch break)

The role:
General Labourer/Handyperson required at our Long Eaton factory, preferably with previous experience in a similar role or from an engineering environment.
TecQuipment manufacture over 400 educational products and, as part of our busy Assembly team, you will be responsible for carrying out cleaning and general maintenance duties within the machine shop and assembly areas of our factory.
This role would suit someone from either an engineering or manufacturing environment. The role can be physically demanding and will involve carrying out the following duties:
- Maintenance duties in the factory
- Emptying of waste and recycling, ensuring bins/skips are utilised to maximum capacity
- Labouring, moving parts and equipment between areas in the factory
- Machine cleaning and maintaining coolant levels in the CNC machines within the Machine Shop
- Keeping the factory clean and tidy (clearing aisles, emptying bins, keeping external areas clear, etc)
- Driving the company van for collections/deliveries as required
- General maintenance and painting
- Wrap painted items ready to put into Stores
Your main responsibilities will include:
- General maintenance duties in the factory

Essential:

- Full driving licence
Desirable:
- Previous experience within a factory,
- Manufacturing or Engineering environment

TecQuipment manufactures of over 400 different products in our site in Long Eaton, near Nottingham. We typically complete and ship around 60 sales orders per month, each of which may include multiple products. The products cover a range from simple forces and moments kits through to wind-tunnels and gas turbines so there is tremendous variety and different challenges every day.
