Job Title: Garden Maintenance Team Leader

Location: Curdridge, Southampton, SO32 2DA but with daily travel across Hampshire, Surrey, West Sussex and Wiltshire

Salary: Up to £12.00 per hour and with an overtime rate of up to £15.60 per hour

Job type: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours a week, Monday – Friday)

Hambrooks is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Garden Maintenance Team Leader to join our well-established company.

The Role:

You will play a vital role in overseeing key aspects of our garden maintenance operations. This will include managing a team assistant, planning and executing maintenance schedules, ensuring high quality workmanship at all times and fostering & maintaining positive client relationships. You will have the opportunity to showcase your horticultural expertise while leading and mentoring your team assistant.

The candidate:

Essential:

  • Plant knowledge & identification
  • Soft Landscape experience
  • Plant care, pruning & shaping experience
  • Garden Machinery knowledge & use
  • Risk assessments and onsite health and safety – could this be desirable?
  • A positive ‘Can Do’ attitude
  • Driving licence

Desirable:

  • PA1/PA6 Spraying Certificates
  • NPTC Chainsaw Certificate of equivalent
  • Experience working with domestic/commercial clients
  • Pest and disease knowledge

Schedule:

  • 8-hour weekday shifts

Experience:

  • Garden Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
  • Team-Leader: 3 years (preferred)

Candidates with the relevant experience or job title of: Gardener; Experienced Gardener; Grounds Maintenance; Maintenance; Garden Maintenance; General Maintenance; Garden Designer; Landscape Gardener; Grounds Gardener; Garden Maintenance; Grounds Maintenance; Team Leader; Landscaper may also be considered for this role.
