Job Title: Furniture Sprayer / Finisher
Location: Bethnal Green E2 (At the company’s Workshop)
Salary: £16 – £20 per hour, depending on experience
Job Type: Full time, Permanent
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
About The Company:
Benjamin’s Workshop is a bespoke furniture joinery company based in Bethnal Green E2.
We provide bespoke fitted furniture to domestic and commercial customers across London. Primarily we are supplying kitchens, wardrobes, commercial cabinetry as well as other bespoke joinery items. Increasingly our client base consists of professionals; established designers, main contractors – as well as high end users.
About the Role:
In a nutshell
The spray finisher is responsible for applying finishing products to all of the company’s work. A high standard of work and attention to detail is required as you will be responsible for ensuring the work leaves the workshop in a consistently perfect condition.
You will be focussed on the following areas:
- Preparation – Sand, fill, prime as required to prepare work
- Spraying – Mix paints and spray the work, must be familiar with different finished including PU and acrylic paints and lacquers
- Hand finishing – Hand applied finishing products such as soils and stains are also used
- Wrapping – Meticulously wrap the work, ensuring it’s protected and will arrive for installation in perfect condition
- Booth maintenance – Keeping the booth and surrounding area clean and tidy
- Inventory – Monitoring levels of consumable items and communicating when orders need to made
About You:
Skills and Experience:
- At least 3 years experience with spraying furniture
- An understanding of joinery production
- Ability to read CAD joinery drawings
