About the Role:
This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to take the lead on growing our income generated from charitable trusts and foundations.
It exists with The Mulberry Bush which is making a real difference to the lives of children, their families and support networks not only at The Mulberry Bush School but more widely through the Charity’s Outreach, Research and Consultancy services. Founded more than 75 years ago, we’re proud of our reputation for transforming the lives of all those affected by childhood trauma.
A part of our small, highly motivated and collaborative fundraising team, you will be expected to maintain and strengthen our relationships with the trusts and foundations which support us currently as well as to identify and foster long-term relationships with new organisations and institutions which can offer grants and other funding to our Charity. To succeed, you will need to develop a thorough understanding of The Mulberry Bush, our goals and our projects for which funding is required in order to allow you to create well-researched, compelling funding propositions.
About you:
You should have at least two years’ experience of successful fundraising from trusts and foundations or, at the very least, be able to display that the skills you possess are directly transferable into an environment of this nature. You will be accomplished in bid-writing with a particular talent for creating engaging, articulate applications. You must also be able to demonstrate outstanding communication skills together with a successful track record for building effective relationships, both internally and externally.
