Job Title: Fundraiser, Individual Giving

Location: London or Manchester, hybrid working from home available

Salary: £27,301 FTE per year + London weighting

Job type: Full time, initially an 18-month FTC with possibility for extension

The role:

  • Plan and manage L’Arche UK’s mid-level and major giving programme providing stewardship and ongoing support to our donors
  • Research and identify new potential leads and prospects for the partner programme for L’Arche UK
  • Support local L’Arche Communities in cultivating and developing mid-level and major donors within their regions
  • Track and assess fundraising metrics
  • Raise funds in line with our yearly fundraising targets

The Candidate:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, personable, flexible and organised individual who feels passionate about working within an organisation that celebrates people with learning disabilities and believes in a world where everybody belongs.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  1. With support from the Fundraising Manager, plan and manage L’Arche UK’s mid-level and major giving programme.
  2. Manage an existing portfolio of mid-level and major donors, providing stewardship and ongoing support.
  3. Identify prospects and individuals that need cultivation, fostering a pipeline of new midlevel and major donors from our smaller and regular donors – working with the Donor Development Fundraiser.
  4. Research and identify new potential leads and prospects for the partner programme for L’Arche UK, as well as prospects for L’Arche International funding.
  5. Support local L’Arche Communities in cultivating and developing mid-level and major donors within their regions – working with the Community Engagement Fundraiser.
  6. Schedule L’Arche Community visits, meetings, and follow up between team members and donors and prospects.
  7. Track and assess fundraising metrics.
  8. Coordinate with National Leader, Director of Fundraising and Communications, Fundraising Manager, Communications and Partnerships Manager and other internal stakeholders to ensure their relationships grow with prospects and donors.
  9. Raise funds in line with our yearly fundraising targets.
  10. Keep updated on current trends within the charity sector.
  11. Be a proactive member of the Fundraising and Communications team; identify and build relationships with key people within the relevant L’Arche Communities, central functions and those from the external surrounding communities.
  12. Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with current legislation, the Fundraising Regulator, Code of Fundraising Practice, GDPR, WCAG and L’Arche policies
