About the role:
The ICSFS BANKS® – Front End / Interface Developer will be responsible for development of interfaces for ICS BANKS® (BASIS) Core Banking Application and support processes from the technical design stage to the actual delivery of business applications. You must have at least 5 years’ experience working BASIS APIs and other interfaces.
You will be required to meticulously carry out coding, code review and unit testing of applications that interface with BASIS.
To be successful in this role, you should have extensive experience developing and implementing applications using Microsoft and Mobile development technologies.
Key duties:
- Collaborate with the business analysts and quality assurance team to collect insight and discuss deliverables
- Maintain and build new systems utilizing established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to Visual Studio, .NET 4.0, ASP.NET, VB.NET / SQL Server 2008 / WCF Web Services / WCF Data Services, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and C#
- Good understanding of BASIS APIs and their functionalities
- Design, maintenance and extension of BASIS APIs for integration with external applications
- Design and develop applications that consumes BASIS interfaces effectively to achieve core functionalities in BASIS
- Integrate BASIS services with customers’ businesses for collaboration and continuity
- Apply all coding standards to constantly meet business requirements and eliminate systems’ security
- Constantly maintain applications in line with bank’s strategic drive
- Design of new processes and administrative functions on all workflow applications
- Review newly developed applications and upgrade to existing applications to check bugs, syntax and logical error, accurate documentation, and logical performance(s)
- Second level support for both BASIS and non-BASIS related solutions
- Process Automation of User Request for Solutions
- Proactively collaborate with team members and business units to find the best solutions for complex technical issues
- Design and implement new functionality and enhancements based on the logged user change requests
- Debug existing code and find a solution to the issue within agreed SLA. May sometimes be required to peer review code written by other members of the development team
About you:
Key requirements
- Degree in computer science or equivalent in a related program
- Possess at least 5 years’ experience in development of applications that interface with ICS BANKS® (BASIS) Core Banking Application system
- Good understanding of the ICS BANKS® (BASIS) data dictionary
- Software Development Skills. Demonstrate experience with ICS BANKS® (BASIS) software design and software engineering practices, including the following ICS BANKS® (BASIS) modules: Advices Subsystems, ATM Systems, Banker Cheques, Banks Charges, Core System, Extended Core system, transfers, Loans etc.
- Have prior exposure to working with ICS BANKS® (BASIS) Interfaces
- Application Database Design Skills along with a good knowledge of SQL (Oracle, SQL Server and MySQL)
- Demonstrate your excellent algorithmic skills and problem-solving capabilities
- Have the ability to translate requirements and ideas into proper functional and technical design documents
- Ability to work independently on tasks
- Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio (.Net) and Programming Language/Frameworks (VB, C#. .NET Core)
- Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and technology developments. Investigate and develop skills in new technologies
- Proactively collaborate with team members and business units to find the best solutions for complex technical issues
