Job Title: Freight Operations

Job description:

This role is office based and would require an initial focus on handling sea, air and road freight shipments from end to end. You will also be involved in commercial activities such as quoting and following up with clients. The expectation will be to always provide a personal and professional service.

As an Operational Clerk at Quality Freight Services, you will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our freight forwarding services. We are looking for candidates with one to two years of experience in the freight forwarding or freight operational industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key tasks.

Main responsibilities:

  • Obtain quotes for freight shipments
  • Create job orders and manage the logistics of shipments
  • Liaise with suppliers and customers to coordinate transportation
  • Generate invoices and assist with order processing
  • Handle customs requests for our in-house team
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of import and export procedures
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with customers and suppliers

What are we looking for:

  • Experience in either Road, Air or Sea freight is essential for this role
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in the freight forwarding or operational industry
  • Proficiency in obtaining quotes and job order management
  • Knowledge of import and export procedures
  • Experience in handling customs requests
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building customer and supplier relationships

  • 20 days holiday + bank holiday. After 2 years’ service you will get 2 extra days, then rising by 1 day each year thereafter to 30 days (max)
