Job Title: Fitter
Location: Mitcham
Salary: £12 – £18 an hour depending on experience
Job type: Full-time or Part-time, Permanent
We are looking for a trainee or experienced candidate with an energetic personality and willingness to learn to install the various products in our range to our clients across the UK.
The role is varied and includes surveying, assembly and installation of outdoor structures including retractable glass roofs and walls, pergola awnings, giant parasols and sail shades. with experience with or without experience of the awning trade will be considered and we hope with training that you would go on to take a leadership role in the future.
Applicants will be Based around Mitcham CR4 you will usually start the day at 6am and travel to the required site with your supervisor to survey or install equipment.
We are willing to consider candidates who would perhaps suit working a part-time 3-4-day week, as well as those who can work 5 days a week.
What kind of person are we looking for?
- Good knowledge of hand tools
- Full, clean UK driving licence (or equivalent)
- Physically fit
- Fast learner
- A mature can-do positive attitude
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Logical, adaptable and a problem solver
- Knowledge and experience of safe working practices
- Flexibility with working hours and overnight stays
- A good command of written and spoken English
- Ability to work in an organised and efficient manner
- Carpentry / Electrical and welding skills would be an advantage but not essential
- Current CSCS card an advantage but not essential
- Living in the South London area
