Job Title: Fire & Security Service Engineer – Sheffield

The Important Bit – The Package
- Salary in the region of £25,000 to £35,000 (starting level will be dependent on experience as we welcome applications from trainees and industry experienced engineers) plus bonuses
- Regular ongoing training, with direct access to training centre and national training manager with onsite support when required
- Opportunity to progress within the branch or in other departments and branches
- Local area work, minimal travel to customer sites. No overnight stays
- Up to 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays, level dependent on length of service
- Additional day off for your birthday

The Role – Service Engineer (Fire & Security)
To support your background and experience, you’ll receive tailored training and guidance to ensure you have the knowledge and skills to become a fully-fledged Security and Fire Alarm Engineer.
No two days are the same for our Security and Fire Alarm Engineers, but one thing is for certain – they’re all busy days! One day you could be out installing fire extinguishers, and the next you might be servicing a large commercial fire or intruder alarm system. Or even perhaps a CCTV or access control system. But one thing that will remain constant in your role is you’ll always be the face of our business and understand how vital it is to deliver superb customer service.
Our Requirements – Service Engineer (Fire & Security)
Do you either have experience gained servicing or providing engineering support in the electrical industry or similar? Or perhaps you’re already a Service Engineer, with experience gained in the fire and security industry?
Here at Jackson Fire & Security, we have a rewarding opportunity to join our growing team in a field-based role supporting clients in Sheffield, Barnsley and the surrounding areas. We’re flexible on your background. If you have the right attitude and a willingness to learn, we’ll provide you with the training and support you need to succeed in the role.
- Experience gained servicing or providing engineering support in the electrical industry or similar
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage own workload with minimal supervision
- Full UK driving license
Due to the nature of the business, successful applicants will be subject to Security Screening in accordance with BS7858
