About the Company:
We are a long-established boutique financial planning practice providing high level wealth management services to a select portfolio of clients, typically with assets £500k to £3m. We approach financial planning by exploring our clients’ life objectives, arranging their financial affairs to support their aspirations using our toolkit of tax, investments and trust knowledge.
We have a small company culture so teamwork is a must; we all contribute to the smooth running of the office, from company director to administrator, anyone might make drinks or change a light bulb.

We need an administrator who would enjoy working in this friendly and co-operative team of people. About you:
We are looking for a hardworking person, who is self-motivated, organised and meticulous about attention to detail. You need to be able to manage your diary and tasks, liaising and co-operating well with other staff but also capable of working autonomously.
Our administrators are often the first point of contact for clients. They play an important role in managing relationships and become acquainted with the financial and personal details of each client’s situation. A candidate who values both administrative efficiency and helping people on an individual level will be best suited to this role.
Ideally you would have at least 2 years existing financial services experience and basic IT literacy – Outlook, word, excel. You should be a quick learner and give 100% to your role. Financial Planning qualifications are welcomed but new further learning towards the CII Diploma is encouraged and would be funded by us subject to prior agreement.

However, priority will be given to those with relevant experience and skills in financial planning administration with the personal attributes mentioned above. We may consider school leavers with a proven commitment to learning and a demonstrated interest in the financial services industry.
Trainees will be considered at a lower salary range commensurate with their knowledge and experience. There is scope for progression within this role for a candidate eager to work towards Paraplanner and even ultimately Adviser status.
Key Responsibilities:
– to provide efficient administrative support to both Advisers and Paraplanners
- Liaising with clients to obtain updates on their finances for the annual review
- Arranging Annual Review dates with clients
- Preparation of letters, emails and reports from templates with technical personalisation
- Updating client management and cashflow modelling software
- Preparing FCA compliant illustrations and drafting Application Forms
- Assisting with investment fund switches within client portfolios
- Checking and distributing incoming and outgoing Post
- Attending client meetings to document discussion on an occasional basis
- Potential to train for paraplanner role in future
