We are looking to strengthen our team and appoint a Financial Director at our Sheffield site.
The Role:
The Financial Director role requires a candidate with energy, an enthusiastic approach and a can-do attitude who can work well within a team.
The successful candidate will oversee all financial aspects of business and drive the company’s financial strategy and planning as well as being responsible for assessing the financial performance of the business.

Oldham Engineering Limited is a well-established medium sized engineering business with a long history and exciting plans for business growth.
As a Company we have a strong manufacturing capability and History, with over 160 years Manufacturing from the Oldham Site. The company has existing strong ties within our Sectors, supported by a strong Blue-Chip Client Base, and we look forward to developing our Team further.
Role and Responsibilities
- Monitor all financial activities and promote revenue growth
- Oversee all financial audit and internal control operations
- Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance
- Conduct analysis to make monthly, quarterly annual forecasts
- Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines
- Develop and implement accounting policies
- Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations
- Allocate resources and manage cash flows, within the accounting team
- Oversee director & shareholder responsibilities
- Work alongside the existing Commercial Project Team on established commercial activities when required
- Team builder & clear communicator, to underpin the role
Skills and Experience required:
- Broad knowledge of all accounting, financial and business principles
- ACA Chartered Accountant qualification (although ACCA Certified Accountants will also be considered)
- Experience in job costing would be advantageous
- In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping
- Firsthand experience with budgeting and risk management
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Experience of the Engineering sector is desirable
