Job Title: Financial Controller

What will you be doing?
Due to recent acquisitions and a restructuring within the finance function across the group, there is a requirement for a Financial Controller.
General Responsibilities:
- Preparation and review of month end board pack
- Ensuring month end close by day 5
- Production of sales reporting pack
- Monthly commission calculations
- Co-ordinate and manage year-end audit
- Manage, motivate and develop a team of 4
- Manage and maintain an effective and efficient credit control function
- Identify and implement improvements within the function
- Co-ordinate the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Partnering with heads of business units to track performance and GP/NP
- Liaise with finance heads of group of companies on ad hoc basis
Projects:
- Support the FD on future acquisition and due diligence projects
- Overseeing/supporting the integration of acquired businesses
- Assist in the roll-out of projects in subsidiary companies as and when required
- BI Software rollout
- Expenses software
Experience Required
- Good system skills (preferably Sage 200 but not essential).
- Accountancy qualification with a recognised accountancy body.
- Demonstrable experience in managing staff
- Good understanding of the objectives and workings of internal financial control.
- Ability to quickly build relationships with external and internal contacts at all levels with confidence.
- Experience of managing finance projects/ implementations
- Deadline orientated
