About the role:
The Finance Manager role will form a key part of the HQ Finance Team reporting into the UK Financial Controller. As well as responsibility for the financial planning and analysis of the SYNLAB UK business, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management accounts for four SYNLAB Group holding companies, thereby offering exposure to the wider group (up to Exec/ C-level).
Additional responsibilities include:
- The preparation of the statutory accounts for SYNLAB UK’s Hospitals business
- Driving improvement in the business controls environment plus liaising with professional advisors (tax and audit).

About you:
Essential Skills and Experience
- ACCA / CIMA / ACA – qualified with a preference of 2 years’ post qualified experience
- Appetite and commitment to follow and improve processes and controls
- Confident, personable, and approachable
- Excellent communication and IT skills
- Ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders
- Ability to work under pressure with an appreciation of working to challenging deadlines
Desirable
- Working experience in a Corporate environment with exposure to Group reporting and communication
- Experience of the pharmaceutical or diagnostic sector
- Financial reporting within FRS101/FRS102 framework
- Experience in working of projects and systems transitions
