Job Title: Field Telecom Engineer
Location: Home Based, Bristol, travel required across the UK as required
Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 per annum
Job type: Fulltime / Permanent (Monday to Friday – 9.00am to 5.30pm (Flexible Hours within 8am – 6pm)

About the Role:
As part of our growth plans, we’re seeking an experienced Field Telecom Engineer that has a real passion for delivering excellence and ensuring customer service is at the heart of everything we do.
You will be responsible for configuring, installing & maintaining all types of Telecom Equipment such as phone lines, broadband, hosted cloud telephony, on premise phone systems, IP Networks, Wi-Fi and IP CCTV.
Job Responsibilities:
- Configuring and installing telecoms and networking infrastructure (routers, switches, Phones Wi-Fi Access points)
- Conduct pre-installation meetings and gather data collection ready for pre-build of solutions
- Assist with the provisioning of new customers and services
- On-site installation of telecoms equipment
- Provide training to the customer on the solutions we provide both onsite and remotely
- Travel and overnight stays will be required
Job Experience Required:
- A background in Telecommunications/Network installations
- Experience working with CW1308 telephone cabling
- Install, terminate and test Cat5, Cat6 and Cat6a
- Testing using a Fluke tester
- patching panels – Cat5, Cat6 and Cat6a
- Experience installing and supporting PBX systems such as LG Ericsson, Samsung Office Serv, Panasonic or similar
- Experience installing and supporting Hosted (VOIP/SIP) telephone solutions
- Experience installing and supporting network and WiFi hardware such as routers and switches supplied by Draytek, Ubiquiti and Zyxel
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for both on-premise and hosted telephony solutions.
- Good understanding of SIP, VOIP and networking in general especially network switch and router configuration.
- Good organisation skills and a high attention to detail.
- A current UK driving license.
