Their team is committed to developing and delivering innovative support surfaces and services to meet the challenges their customers face every day in reducing avoidable pressure ulcers, preventing cross infection and improving equipment safety and availability.
Due to company growth, they have an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join their Southern Service Team. They are looking for a highly personable, self-motivated, enthusiastic individual who has a willingness to learn and develop within the business.
The Role:
Field Service Engineers are responsible for the service, repair, compliance testing, delivering and installing of a range of healthcare equipment and medical devices products to the highest technical standards in accordance with their policies and Procedures.
The engineer will provide on-site corrective and preventive maintenance solutions as well as other after-sales technical support solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance and servicing of the following but not limited to:
- Hoists/Stand aids
- Ceiling/Gantry Hoist
- Acute and Community profiling beds
- Specialised baths
- Active mattress system
- Wheel chairs and walking aids
- Sluice and Macerators
- Ability to plan and prioritise work effectively and efficiently in order to complete servicing and repairs on time.
- Ensure that all service work is carried out safely and falls in line with current legislation and EHS service procedures.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately, efficiently and effectively in a timely manner in accordance with company policies and procedures before leaving customer site.
- Must have strong customer focussed interpersonal skills and be positive and solution focussed during all customer interactions
- Customer facing and represent the company, identify leads for product sales as and when required and pass on details to follow up.
- Ability to communicate and fault find over the phone
- Ensure confidentiality on all matters relating to employees, service users/clients’ details and information obtained during the course of employment.
- Ensure a high standard of cleanliness at all times.
- Continue to perform duties of the service technician in addition to Supervisor duties when required.
- Ensure the department meets the requirements of all infection control policies and procedures set out by EHS in conjunction with NHS protocols.
- Ensure Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times by self and colleagues.

Additional Requirements:
- Must have a full clean driving licence
- Must have an enhanced DBS check / Disclosure Scotland
- Take part of an on-call rota as and when required
- Due to the nature of the activity, there may be a requirement to undertake work outside of normal hours and support colleagues in other departments.
