Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Location: Field-based (ideally located in the South-West of England)

We are looking for a field service engineer to help support our customers in the UK, Ireland and sometimes further afield. We’ll provide full, hand on training at our factory in Basildon, Essex and support you with a period of on-the-job training before you get to put your technical, mechanical and electrical skills to use in new and challenging situations. You’ll be interacting with a wide variety of people, machines and settings, travelling to customer sites to install, commission, service and provide training of industrial hot melt equipment, cold glue application equipment and associated control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Installation, commissioning and training of new systems, at our customers’ factories, including modification or on-site fabrication of parts, as needed, for customers in the UK, Ireland and sometimes further afield.
- Servicing, maintenance and problem-solving of existing systems.
- Solving customer’s technical problems and questions, by telephone and email.
- Professionally representing two leading brands of industrial glue application systems: WH Leary and Robatech.
- Identifying new opportunities for WH Leary and Robatech and working with the operations and sales teams to develop new business.
- Drive to customer locations, managing your own daily route to arrive in a timely manner based on customer location and issue, maintain accurate time records and complete visit reports.
- Provide excellent customer service, listening carefully to customer concerns and addressing issues until customer is satisfied.
The Candidate:
Required:
- Technical and electrical experience
- Minimum of three years’ experience in hardware support or repair work in a customer-facing role in a production environment
- Clean driving record (company van is provided)
- Ability to work productively with minimal supervision
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Understanding of tools and technology needed to complete repairs (we provide tools)
Preferred:
- Experience with industrial gluing systems

- Base salary between £30,000 – £35,000 (subject to experience)
