Job Title: Business Development Manager
Location: Covering areas within the South East of England with our Sales Office based in Chelmsford.
Salary: £35,000 per annum plus commission (Commission based on a structure)
Job type: Permanent, Full Time.
The Role:
The Plumbing Distribution Company Ltd is a thriving B2B distribution business known for delivering high-quality plumbing products and superior service to our customers. With a strong commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, we have been serving our merchants for 17 years and with a focus on continuous improvement, our family run business is seeking an energetic and motivated Business Development Manager to join our dynamic sales team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales within their designated territory, utilizing company-provided resources such as a company car, mobile phone, and laptop. The role involves utilizing our CRM and other software tools to manage customer relationships, meet monthly sales targets, and earn commission.
Commission Breakdown (Paid Monthly):
- 15% On Overall Sales
- Fee For Every Account Opened
- 10% Of New Customer Sales For First 3 Months
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Prospecting:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Utilize the company CRM and other software tools to track leads, manage accounts, and streamline sales processes.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Effectively utilize CRM data to enhance customer interactions and drive sales.
Sales Targets and Commission:
- Set and achieve monthly sales targets as outlined by the company.
- Earn commission based on successful sales transactions, with payments made monthly.
Utilization of Company Resources:
- Effectively use the provided company car, mobile phone, and laptop to facilitate sales activities and maintain communication with clients.
CRM and Software Usage:
- Input and manage all relevant customer information, interactions, and transactions in the company CRM system.
- Utilize other software tools provided by the company to enhance sales efficiency and effectiveness.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Provide regular reports on sales activities, achievements, and challenges.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, ensuring the CRM is kept up-to-date.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Field Sales Representative or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and proficiency in using sales-related software.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet monthly sales targets.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
