Job Title: Field Sales Engineer / Account Manager
Location: Southampton – This is a UK field sales role, home-based with no restrictions on location.
Salary: £40,000 – £65,000 OTE. Uncapped commission scheme (DOE) + mileage allowance / company car.

Our product range addresses the needs of engineers and scientists operating in renewable energy applications from the materials science research up to high power systems.

The business has just completed its 14th anniversary and during that period, we have achieved sustained growth and success in our target markets. We are now seeking to expand the team to build on that success.
The Role:
In this role you will be responsible for the sales of their exciting new ac source product line. The products have direct application in the development of, and research into ac motor controller design. Target markets include Aerospace & Defence, domestic and industrial electrical product testing, global power simulation and compliance testing including to CE / UKCA and Aerospace standards.
The Candidate:
Ideally, you will have experience of selling similar products, however you may be an enthusiastic, fast learner with a suitable technical background knowledge. Your knowledge may result from education (such as electronics / electrical engineering) or through experience of using similar products. Training will be provided on the specific product line and, if required, on sales skills.
A good understanding of electronic test and measurement instrumentation and measurement techniques as applied to electrical systems is essential. The candidate will require sufficient technical and scientific knowledge to explain, demonstrate and sell our products to new prospects and assist users. A background in business-to-business field sales of technical / scientific products will be an advantage as will experience of sales to the Aerospace/Defence market or electrical product compliance applications.
The successful candidate will have excellent people skills, be and able to build trust and confidence in our customers.
The candidate will be a highly motivated, self-starter with drive and the desire to be successful and achieve sales goals.
Excellent English communication skills are essential.
