United Response is hiring! We are looking for Female Support Workers to join one of our supported living services in Melksham. As a leading disability charity, we are currently supporting 2 ladies who enjoy busy social lives and getting involved with loads of different activities.
If you are an empathetic individual with a genuine passion for helping others, then we want to hear from you. We don’t ask for specific skills, it all about you, if you are energetic, enthusiastic and are happy to encourage the busy lives of the people we support then we want to hear from you! A good sense of humour and a love of Abba wouldn’t go amiss either.
To be considered you must have a full driver’s licence and access to your own vehicle.
What would you be doing?
The role of Support Worker is a varied one, but your responsibilities would involve:
- Accompanying the people we support on trips and to activities
- This may include parties, art classes, day centres
- Getting involved with activities
- Assisting with jobs around the house
- Encouraging continued engagement in the community
- Helping with meals
- Personal care
- Administering medication
