Salary: £25,875 per year.
Job type: Full Time, Permanent. 35 hours per week. Our TESS department is open Monday to Friday, you will work hours between 8.30am and 5pm.

The Candidate:
We are currently looking for a Facilities and Accommodation Officer to join our dedicated and compassionate Trafficking and Exploitation Survivor’s Service (TESS) team, on a Permanent Contract.
The successful candidate will be innovative and determined, have demonstrable experience of managing accommodation which supports adults and families, and be passionate about protecting our vulnerable clients.
The Role:
The post holder will support the support the Regional Manager and the wider Glasgow based TESS service in the comprehensive provision of facilities support, including in relation to Migrant Help offices and client accommodation based in Scotland. The objective of this role is to support the TESS team and Facilities to manage and secure practical, pragmatic solutions within our accommodation and offices to ensure the health and safety of staff and clients. They will assist and support Facilities to ensure Migrant Help complies with all current legislation / approved codes of practice and guidance in relation to the management of premises and support to the health and safety provisions. The successful candidate will work to build positive partnerships and relationships with Landlords, third party suppliers, Migrant Help managers and colleagues.
Duties and responsibilities:
Supporting the TESS Scotland Service through:
- Management of offices and accommodation to ensure we comply with regulation and legislation in terms of Health and Safety and good/best practice standards.
- Support the TESS Regional Manager with the procurement of office space and client accommodation. Procure fixtures and fittings for our office and accommodation as required to meet our obligations as an office/accommodation provider.
- Day to day maintenance of the Migrant Help accommodation asset register.
- Supervision of day-to-day management of our accommodation and other sites (for example, offices) as and when required. Undertaking regular checks for condition and cleanliness. Monitoring planned and preventative maintenance schedules and urgent repairs. Responsible for weekly accommodation inspections of direct Migrant Help accommodation and regular visits to any third-party accommodation sites used by Migrant Help clients.
- Maintain records of energy usage, waste costs in line with our targeted reductions in carbon emissions.
- Maintain records of accidents and near misses and working with those involved and their managers take necessary steps to prevent a recurrence.
- Promote equality, diversity and inclusion in all actions and activities.
Experience and skills:
- Previous experience in a Facilities Officer/Administrator role in a multi-location context
- Excellent computerExcellent computer skills, in particular cloud based apps, MS Office, SharePoint and Teams.
- Ability to collect, analyse and disseminate data for reporting purposes
- Have high attention to detail and excellent problem solving, organisation and administrative skills
- Proven ability to prioritise and work on your own initiative whilst respecting boundaries
